What I've Been Loving Lately #2: Hair Products

Happy Saturday!

Today in another instalment of What I've Been Loving Lately I'm sharing with you some of  the hair products I've been using and enjoying.

Sodashi Botanical Shampoo & Conditioner

I was recently sent some products from Sodashi to trial and I have to say, it was instant love. Not only is the range chemical-free and free of any synthetic preservatives or fragrances, the products are Australian-made and the brand doesn't test on animals. What more could you want?

I've been using the Botanical Shampoo* & Conditioner* for a couple of months now and have been really enjoying both products. The shampoo gives the hair and scalp a really thorough cleanse and although it leaves the hair in definite need of a conditioner, it doesn't strip the hair like other deep-cleansing shampoos can.

The conditioner is light but moisturising and is a lovely follow-up to the shampoo. It is definitely not a heavy-duty conditioner but does its job and would be perfect for someone who likes to wash their hair a lot as it does not weigh the hair down.

The best thing about these products for me is the scent. When I'm washing my hair I feel like I've stepped into a day spa. The scent is very natural and may take some time getting used to, especially if you are used to sweet, synthetic fragrances in your hair products. I personally love it.

Botanical Shampoo: RRP $42.95

Botanical Conditioner: RRP $44.95

Kérastase Cristalliste Bain Fins & Luminous Perfecting Masque

I've never tried any products from Kérastase before, primarily due to the somewhat hefty price tag. When I was offered the chance to trial some products for review, I jumped at the chance to see what all the fuss was about.

I was sent two products from the Cristalliste range which is designed to be a lightweight, illuminating collection for long hair. Even though I chopped off my long hair late last year, I loved the idea of using more lightweight products on my super-fine locks.

I have been trialling the Cristalliste Bain Cristal Fins and the Luminous Perfecting Masque and loving them. The shampoo contains a plant origin extract that is designed to smooth the hair without weighing it down. It is silicone, paraben and colourant free which is an added bonus.

The masque is enriched with Dry Oil and Candelilla Cera and Ceramide to nourish and protect the hair. Whilst the gel-cream texture is different to most hair treatments, I found it left my hair with plenty of moisture without making it greasy.

Bain Cristal Fins: 250ml | RRP $39.00

Luminous Perfecting Masque: 200ml | RRP $60.00

Indola Innova Wonder Blow-Dry

I must say I was really curious about trying this product from Indola. I really dread washing my hair in winter, there is nothing worse than standing around freezing while trying to get your hair completely dry. That's where Wonder Blow-Dry comes in. Indola claims Wonder Blow-Dry has ten benefits including faster drying time, heat protection, that it smoothes & detangles, banishes frizz and so much more.

I can definitely attest to the fact that this cuts my blow-drying time in half. I can get my hair completely dry within about five minutes, whereas without using the product it takes at least 10-15 mins. Bear in mind I don't blow-dry my hair completely straight, I just get all the moisture out before I move on to using my straightening iron.

I do notice my hair has a smoother texture when using this product and I definitely have a lot less frizziness to my locks. I do have to be careful not to use too much product though as I have gone overboard on one occasion which meant my hair was a bit greasy feeling by the next day. This is a great product for those wanting to speed up their haircare routine without compromising on style.

Indola Innova Wonder Blow-Dry: 200ml | RRP $19.95

It's A 10 Miracle Leave-In Product

Finally I wanted to include It's A 10 Miracle Leave-In Product on this list. I've had this for a while now and actually wrote a full review on this product which you can read here. Just like the Wonder Blow-Dry, it claims to have ten benefits for the hair. While Wonder Blow-Dry cuts your drying time in half, It's A 10 really succeeds at detangling and hydrating the hair. My hair feels so silky when I use this and I love that it is a leave-in treatment that I don't have to wash out 15 minutes after application.

Unfortunately I don't think this is available in Australia yet, but if you are in the US, I'd definitely recommend picking this up!

Have you tried any of these products? I'd love to hear about your favourite hair products in the comments.
