Manicure Monday: Face Of Australia Dark Side Collection

I've just got a quick post for you all today. I'm sure many of you have spotted the latest Face Of Australia Nail Enamel collection in your local Priceline, and if you're anything like me, you couldn't resist picking up a couple of shades.

The Dark Side collection features eight shades inspired by the most evil villains of all time. I picked up two shades, Maleficent and Darth Vader.

For today's mani, I thought I would wear Maleficent on all of my nails and Darth Vader as a ring finger accent. The deep plum colour of Maleficent reminds me of OPI's famed Lincoln Park After Dark, which is one of my favourite winter polishes.

Maleficent applied smoothly but definitely requires two coats as there are a lot of bald patches left if only applying one coat. It dries quite quick and to a lovely gloss finish. I think this is a great budget alternative for those with their eye on the similar OPI offering.

I don't think I have anything like Darth Vader in my extensive polish collection. It has a clear base, and is made up of black and purple glitters in varying sizes. I think it is a welcome addition to the collection though I don't know how often I will use it. I have a feeling it will only look good over darker polishes though I am willing to experiment!

Face of Australia Dark Side Nail Enamel is available for a limited time from Priceline, Big W, Kmart and Fashion Addict.

RRP: $4.95
