On Friday May 6th I was lucky enough to attend the Sydney premiere of Water For Elephants. The event was held at the State Theatre, however due to the enormity of the event, a 300 metre red carpet was rolled out that was the length of Pitt Street Mall.
Around 2000 screaming fans waited, some since 2:30am, all desperate for a glimpse of Twilight hunk Robert Pattinson. My favourite actress and absolute idol when I was young, Reese Witherspoon, was also in attendance wearing a stunning Zac Posen cocktail dress paired perfectly with simple black Christian Louboutin heels.
I was completely unaware this photo was being taken!
I was so thrilled to be given the opportunity to report from the red carpet for my blog. I'll be posting my video interviews with some of the lovely Aussie celebs that I met in the next day or two.
The atmosphere was electric, with circus performers and a classic popcorn machine keeping with the theme of the film. I took along my lovely friend Catherine, who was the perfect assistant! Isn't she gorgeous?

Rob spent a great deal of time signing autographs and posing for photos for his screaming fans, most of who were female. (Surprise, surprise!)
The film's director, Francis Lawrence
I managed to grab a few minutes with the brilliant director of Water For Elephants, Francis Lawrence. We spoke about why he wanted to turn Sara Gruen's novel into a feature film, and how he decided who he would want in his cast. (I will be posting a video of all my interviews once I've finished editing!)
Reese Witherspoon looked absolutely STUNNING! I have to say, I cannot believe how tiny Reese is. Sure, I knew she was petite, but I was genuinely shocked at how little she was. Even in sky high heels, she was the so small!
Loving her hair and make-up!

Me and Catherine, loving life!
Sorry for the overload of pics of me and Catherine! Haha!
My fantastic photographer & friend, Dianne.
Such a fantastic night, stay tuned for my interviews, I will most likely post one video with all the interviews I did and perhaps a written post with some excerpts from the interviews.
I will also be doing a review of the film in the next week or so. Stay tuned for that also. In short, I loved it!
